VERIVERY - KANGMIN
As the formation of a derivative group centered on participants from “BOYZ 2 PLANET” is announced, VERIVERY member KANGMIN (real name YU GANGMIN, 23) will not join this project.

On January 26, according to the music industry, CHUEI LI YU, KANG WOOJIN and JANG HAN EUM, who participated in “BOYZ 2 PLANET”, are preparing to debut as a derivative group. Production will be handled by CJ ENM, and management by FNC ENTERTAINMENT. However, the final composition of the group and the debut date have not yet been confirmed. FNC ENTERTAINMENT stated that the published information is “under discussion.”
Regarding this, KANGMIN sent a supportive message to his colleagues via the fan communication app: “I saw the article about the little ones, is it confirmed? Good luck, little ones!! KANGMIN hyung supports you.” He also honestly explained why he would not be joining the derivative group and shared his feelings.
To his fans, KANGMIN said: “I will continue to work to be loved as YU GANGMIN,” “I went out to debut and was eliminated. Now, I have to choose my future and give my best,” “I also want to make happy those who loved me at that time,” asking for their support for his future choices.
After finishing 9th in “BOYZ PLANET” season 2, KANGMIN returned to his original group VERIVERY. The group successfully resumed activities last December with their fourth single “LOST AND FOUND”, after a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, and all members signed a new contract to open Chapter 2 of the group. KANGMIN will participate in solo fan meetings, continue activities abroad, and also enter acting with confirmed participation in KITZ’s premium short-form drama “Jump boy LIVE.”
