Singer WOODZ has entered a true comeback countdown as the release of his very first studio album since his debut approaches.

The agency EDAM ENTERTAINMENT announced on February 1, via its official SNS, that WOODZ will release his first studio album “ARCHIVE. 1” on March 4, and that he will unveil a pre-release track beforehand on February 12. The poster released together contains the reveal schedule for the studio album’s highlight medley as well as the tracklist, drawing fans’ attention.
The highlight medley teaser presents visuals reminiscent of a computer screen and folders, catching the eye. It intuitively expresses the concept of an album drawn from the “archives” the artist has accumulated, and the revealed images allow viewers to guess the titles of the studio album, further heightening curiosity around the album. The highlight medley video consists of four parts that will be revealed successively each evening at 10 p.m. KST, from the 2nd to the 5th, with different concepts, while the tracklist will be revealed on the 6th at midnight KST.

“ARCHIVE. 1” is the first studio album that WOODZ presents since his debut, and it is anticipated as a work that condenses WOODZ’s musical identity, featuring a unique musical color and excellent production capabilities. In particular, after leaving a strong impression on the public with his self-composed song “Drowning” and continuously raising expectations for his studio album, the mere announcement of this release is already generating strong interest.
Previously, WOODZ had already previewed on stage, during concerts, some of the tracks included in the studio album, receiving an enthusiastic response from fans. In addition, his self-composed song “Drowning”, released in 2023, experienced a resurgence on the charts, dominating rankings last year and setting a record by ranking number one on the national year-end chart across major music charts, including Melon. To this day, it continues to remain high on the charts.
WOODZ debuted in 2014 as a member of the group UNIQ, then received popular love through “PRODUCE X 101” on MNET, before beginning a full-fledged solo career under the name WOODZ starting in 2018. His digital single released after his return, “I never love again”, also rose to the top of the charts, proving his presence, and he firmly established himself as a “trusted artist” by recording, among other achievements, a sold-out solo concert last November.
WOODZ’s pre-release track will be unveiled on February 12 on various music platforms, and his first studio album “ARCHIVE. 1” will be released on March 4.
