The “2026 MAMA AWARDS” will take place on November 20 and 21 for two days at the KYOCERA DOME OSAKA, in Japan. The “MAMA AWARDS” will be broadcast in real time via digital platforms such as MNET PLUS.
The “MAMA AWARDS” are attempting a new evolution this year. CJ ENM is preparing various events that the global fandom can enjoy together, navigating between online and offline. As it has presented original gala stagings each year by launching new themes in the K-pop music industry, the “2026 MAMA AWARDS” plans to present, in addition to the main award ceremony, various boundary-breaking extension programs based on the core value “Music makes ONE”.
The “MAMA AWARDS” of CJ ENM began in 1999 under the name “VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS”. In 2009, they made a leap forward as South Korea’s first Asian music award ceremony, and consolidated their global position through a rebranding in 2022. In particular, in 2024, they succeeded for the first time for a K-pop ceremony in a relay holding connecting LA in the United States and Osaka in Japan, and in 2025, they saw their global authority recognized by winning the “BEST GENERAL ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME” award at the AACA, Asia’s largest content ceremony.
