Emblematic, he will come to represent the “tribute stage”.

The singer RAIN shared his impressions after being selected as the tribute artist for the “WEVERSE CON FESTIVAL 2026”, while expressing his ambition to present his legend stages, loved for a long time, reinterpreted anew with the current sensitivity of the year 2026.
RAIN, with the approach of his participation in the “WEVERSE CON FESTIVAL 2026” which will be held on June 6 and 7 at the KSPO DOME and the 88 Grass Field of the Olympic Park in the Songpa District in Seoul, unveiled the direction of this show through a written interview conducted with the organizer.
The “TRIBUTE STAGE”, which is the core of the “WEVERSE CON FESTIVAL 2026” celebrating its 4th edition this year, is a symbolic stage that brings back to light the musical universe of an artist having exerted a considerable influence on the history of Korean popular music.
Until now, pillars of the Korean song industry such as the late Shin Hae Chul, Seo Taiji, Uhm Jung Hwa, Park Jin Young, and BoA have been selected, and this year, RAIN takes over the torch to richly color the festival. The team of the “WEVERSE CON FESTIVAL 2026” shared the context of this selection by stating:
“We brought our attention to the fact that RAIN presented a new reference for solo K-pop artists, and made the status of K-pop known worldwide by notably succeeding in a world tour for the first time as a solo artist”.
On this stage, RAIN plans to show a power that transcends eras, worthy of a veteran celebrating the 27th anniversary of his debut. RAIN displayed his confidence by stating: “I want to convey a deep nostalgia to the generations who shared my musical universe, and a fresh shock similar to a ‘future past’ to teenagers for whom the music of that era is unfamiliar”, adding: “As I believe in the strength of good music that transcends eras, I am preparing a stage that all generations will be able to enjoy together”.
In particular, as a message he wishes to convey to the spectators during this show, he chose his new song “Feel it (너야)” published last May 11. It is a song that simultaneously contains the meaning of “Fill it up” which consists of filling life with pleasure, and of “Feel It” which invites to fully feel the sensation of the present moment, and RAIN confided that he would warmly share with the audience the joy of enjoying music, just like the meaning contained in this new song.
He also let a expectation full of affection show regarding the tribute stages that junior artists are preparing. RAIN addressed a warm encouragement toward his juniors by stating: “I am happy that my music seems to continue to live and move through the next generation. I hope that the audience will feel the message according to which ‘music does not divide generations’ through a beautiful stage where the past and the future of K-pop coexist in harmony”, adding: “If the feeling of sincerely enjoying the song is conveyed, that will be more than enough to make it a magnificent stage”.
Finally, RAIN emphasized the meaning of the “WEVERSE CON FESTIVAL 2026” by qualifying it as a “stage where various artists gather to look back at themselves and obtain new energy, as well as a precious opportunity where seniors and juniors harmonize without borders”, and particularly evaluated that it is a “differentiated festival where one feels ‘respect’ toward the artist and which possesses the delicacy of treating the history of music with care”.
The “WEVERSE CON FESTIVAL 2026” operates simultaneously the outdoor show “Weverse Park” and the indoor show “Weverse Con”, and a total of 30 teams will participate in it.
