JIHYO left a long message for her fandom Onces on July 28 via a fan communication platform.
She sincerely confessed that it was still difficult for her to have daily conversations as usual with such a heavy heart.
JIHYO stated: “I could simply share daily conversations with Onces, but acting as if nothing happened and chatting freely is still very difficult for me because my heart is so heavy.”
She continued: “I hesitated so much and was very careful before coming to communicate”, promising: “I will resolve and sort things out well so I can give you news quickly so Onces do not wait too long.”
She also directly mentioned her thoughts regarding her future.
JIHYO shared: “As the subject of my own life, I will reflect and make a wise and intelligent choice, so I hope Onces will encourage me and trust me as you have always done.”
She also clearly reaffirmed her affection for TWICE.
She emphasized: “I sincerely love and care for this group that is TWICE”, adding: “I believe that with this feeling alone, Onces will understand very well.”
She then said: “I am sorry for coming after so long. I will come back when I can joke around while sharing daily conversations as if nothing happened.”
Finally, she comforted fans by writing: “Let us sleep well, eat well, rest well, and overcome this together. Thank you always.”
JIHYO debuted in 2015 within TWICE. Including her trainee period, she has maintained her connection with JYP ENTERTAINMENT for about 20 years.
Recently, as the end of exclusive contracts and the possibility of transfer for certain TWICE members were mentioned, attention also focused on JIHYO‘s choice.
Rumors that JIHYO would not renew her contract and was preparing to establish an individual agency have also surfaced, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
