SOYEON of I-DLE announced her solo comeback.
Her agency Cube Entertainment unveiled on August 27 the tracklist of SOYEON‘s first studio album “UNIVERSE OF DREAMS” via the official social media channels of I-DLE (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua).
The tracklist drew attention by being produced in the form of a resignation letter displayed on a CRT screen mainly used until the 2000s. At the same time, the reason for the resignation “to start a “UNIVERSE OF DREAMS” that can no longer be delayed” was revealed along with the tracklist of a total of 8 songs.
The title track is “I’m quitting (Narr. Kian84) (I am going to resign)”. Webtoon author and TV personality Kian84 provided the narration, adding wit to the song. In addition to “Icebluerabbit” which had been revealed earlier during I-DLE‘s world tour, songs of various genres will be included, such as “Star”, a powerful EDM song unveiled at various festivals and through its music video, “야채 싫어 송” with its fun lyrics and highly addictive melody, “Amigo (Feat. Minsu)” which completed a new variation by sampling “Like a virgin” by pop icon Madonna, as well as “Bankroll”, “그냥 사랑하면 안 될까” and “낭만 보내기”.
Previously, SOYEON had drawn attention by posting on her account a photo with the text “퇴사할게여 ”, posing with open hands in front of the Cube Entertainment building as if to suggest a farewell.
As she announces a title track on the theme of “resignation”, with which anyone working in a company can identify, attention is focused on this first solo studio album that will contain SOYEON‘s constantly evolving musical spectrum.
“UNIVERSE OF DREAMS” by SOYEON will be released on September 7 at 6 p.m. KST.
