The new duo of SEVENTEEN, JEONGHAN X JOSHUA, has started its official countdown before the release of its first mini-album.
JEONGHAN X JOSHUA revealed the promotion schedule of its 1st mini-album “DREAMSCAPE” on September 24 at midnight on SEVENTEEN‘s official social media. The published schedule attracted attention with its configuration in the form of a circle where date phrases seem to turn in a continuous loop. An image recalling the main keyword of the album, “awakening”, and a mystical atmosphere blended together to announce a mysterious concept.
In particular, the schedule attracts attention as it stands out from the configurations usually seen in K-pop comeback promotions. JEONGHAN X JOSHUA plans to meet their fans by successively unveiling various contents, starting with “Meet JxJ Diary” on the 25th.
Next, on the 28th and 29th, they will present “Daydreamers” and “Dreamchasers” respectively. On the 5th of next month, “DREAMSCAPE: BETWEEN TWELVES” will be unveiled, which should further increase the curiosity surrounding the universe and concept of the album.
The tracklist will be revealed on the 7th of next month. Then, on the 9th, a content titled “fragment of DREAM” is announced, increasing expectation for the new song and the album. On the 14th, a highlight medley allowing to check in advance the atmosphere of the included songs will be published, and on the 17th and 18th, the official teaser will be unveiled over two days.
After all of this promotion, JEONGHAN X JOSHUA will officially release its 1st mini-album “DREAMSCAPE” on the 19th of next month at 6 p.m. KST. The music video for the title song will also be revealed at the same time, marking the official start of their activities as a duo.
“DREAMSCAPE” is an album that traces the dreamscape that unfolds when the unconscious fantasy that blooms during sleep and the ideal that one wishes to achieve in reality, two different meanings of the word “dream”, mesh and collide endlessly.
JEONGHAN X JOSHUA will transform into dreamers freely crossing the border between fantasy and reality, and plans to present their own sensual music and concept. Attention is focused on the musical color and stories that JEONGHAN X JOSHUA, an unprecedented combination within SEVENTEEN itself, will make heard through “DREAMSCAPE”.
