GOT7 unveiled for the first time the teaser and sound of the MV of its new mini-album, with the title “Eclipse”.
GOT7 will release on May 20th its new mini-album “SPINNING TOP” and its title song “Eclipse“, for a first comeback in 2019.
JYP Entertainment released the MV teaser video containing some of the sound of the title song “Eclipse” on its official channel and the SNS of GOT7.
The video caught the eye with dazzling visuals, loving eyes and the refined sound of the seven members of GOT7, in scenes where light and darkness intersect.
In addition, member YUGYEOM covered the light of his hands, followed by the slowly obscured sky, recalling the title of the song “Eclipse“, adding a little more curiosity, before the release of the MV.
“Eclipse” was written by JYP Entertainment Manager Park Jin-young, who also wrote and composed songs under the name DEFSOUL. He expressed moments of “darkness” when a confident and stable situation begins to falter, as when light fades away from the darkness. He brought out the depth of emotion in a trendy melody based on Future Base sounds.
The new “SPINNING TOP” mini-album will include seven tracks in total, including the instrumental music of “Eclipse“, which can only be played on CDs. GOT7 members who demonstrated their musical abilities by writing and composing each album also participated in writing and composing all the songs, this time capturing their respective musical colors.
In addition, GOT7 will open its 2019 World Tour “GOT7 WORLD TOUR KEEP SPINNING” at the KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Stadium) in Seoul on June 15th and 16th.
Seventeen cities around the world, including Asia, North and South America and Europe, have been unveiled as venues for the first tour and are expected to expand in size and reach in the future.
Among the world tours, the performances in North and South America, Australia and Europe are all the more publicized as they announce their collaboration with Live Nation, a performance agency responsible for performances by renowned foreign artists such as as Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Maroon Five and Lady Gaga.
General reservations for the next world tour will open at 20pm KST on May 17th on Melon Ticket. In addition, the new GOT7 mini-album, “SPINNING TOP“, is currently on pre-sale on various online record sites, before releasing on May 20th.
