SEVENTEEN : An explosive comeback with “Fear”.

SEVENTEEN are back with their third full album “AN ODE“.

The popular group of PLEDIS Entertainment, SEVENTEEN, returns today with the title “독: Fear“, from its third album “AN ODE“. This album consists of 11 tracks, all composed by the member WOOZI, as well as VERNON and S.COUPS who helped with some songs.

After launching an Asian tour and a series of showcases, HOSHI, JEONGHAN, JOSHUA, JUN, WONWOO, MINGYU, DOKYEOM, THE8, SEUNGKWAN, WOOZI, VERNON, S.COUPS and DINO returned last month with the song “Hit“. In spite of little time spent on the preparation of the album, the group worked hard to present a brand new strong and charismatic concept to their fans, the Carats. In addition, members like DOKYEOM and SEUNGKWAN had side solo activities. DOKYEOM has expressed himself in this respect:

« When I made my debut in the musical “Xcalibur”, I received a lot of advice from my elders in the field. The members also supported me a lot. »

SEUNGKWAN told us he was being asked a lot of questions about SEVENTEEN, especially about the alchemy in a group with so many members.

WOOZI, the composer of the group, said they wanted to show a new facet. To always show better performance, the group works hard and even if sometimes it’s complicated, the members are happy to see when their hard work pays off.

For THE8, “독: Fear” has a dance where every moment, every movement counts from the beginning to the end, but HOSHI, the group’s choreographer, names two key movements: when they smell perfume on their wrists and when they join their hands in cup to drink in.

S.COUPS continues and reveals that the group has surpassed itself for this comeback. As VERNON, he tells us about the title “Hit” which, for him, is aptly named thanks to the energy the EDM style brings to the song.

MINGYU returns to the album asking those who will listen to it to pay close attention, because each song tells a different story. The styles are also varied: acoustic, hip-hop, rap and pop to please everyone. The title “247“, from the performance team (HOSHI, JUN, THE8, DINO) allows them to show their abilities, even on an acoustic title, according to HOSHI.

For this comeback, JEONGHAN comes back with his natural hair after having spent the last three years with coloration. As for DINO, he is happy to always receive so much love from the members and the fans as he is the youngest of the group.

After attending KCON in the United States, SEUNGKWAN thinks that the group has distinguished itself by the number of members in the group, as well as their presence on stage. The next dreaming step for JOSHUA is to attend the Billboard Music Awards, Grammy, American Music Awards which are prestigious awards ceremonies in the USA. In the meantime, they will go on with their world tour, to which other dates will progressively be added.

In future perspective, HOSHI wants to try a vintage concept or one that is dedicated to fans. S.COUPS is then asked about the team spirit of such a large group. The leader judiciously responds that, despite the arguments, it is a very close and tight-knit family which explains the cohesion between each other; a remark emphasized by DOKYEOM. The choreographer adds that all of this is especially made possible thanks to the leader who does a good job.

S.COUPS adds that the group likes to challenge itself, and this album is one of them with the radical change of style that they wanted in contrast of their previous songs like “Don’t wanna cry“. Each album is a new challenge that the members like to meet with success. SEUNGKWAN reveals that the title “독: Fear” having a darker concept, the members had to think a lot about past concerns, to help them for this comeback and bring out the good emotions.

WOOZI concludes by expressing their desire to fill large venues and go to other events in the United States, to meet their fans. Once their world tour ends, the group will start working on its next album.
