YG: YG Republique is closed.

The restaurant and entertainment center YG Republique will soon close its doors!

The YG Republic located on Jeju Island announced the official closure of its doors on December 31st. YG Republique is a restaurant and entertainment center located inside Jeju Shinhwa World, a tourist attraction on Jeju Island.

YG Republique is an idea created by YANG HYUN SUK and the CEO of YG Foods. However, the center saw poor commercial results and eventually decided to close.

The restaurant and entertainment center opened in February 2018 and will close before even its first birthday.

Reports say that pedestrian traffic has stopped considerably since the SEUNGRI Burning Sun scandal and the multiple YANG HYUN SUK scandals involving corruption, embezzlement, prostitution and more.

G-DRAGON had also made the opening ceremony of YG Republique its last public event before joining the army.
