덕생일지: The story of many fans.
The shooting of the web drama “덕생일지” will soon begin and it is during a press conference that we meet the actors who will appear there.
This drama, from a webtoon – a very popular net comic in Korea – describes itself as “The story of a fan that even the fans don’t know“. It focuses on the life of a fanbase manager of a group that she follows everywhere and at all times to be able to photograph them. If this webtoon has managed to gain as many readers, it is mainly thanks to its realism and the simplicity but plausibility of its history.
On the poster to embody the main character we find SOHEE from the girls group NATURE, accompanied by MAY J LEE from the famous dance studio 1Million, as well as the young actress WOO DABI.
For the first male role we discover HONG EUNGI, former participant of the show Produce 101 season two. KIM YEONGSIN is the director of the series while CHAE EUNYOO is the screenwriter. The director is notably known for having shot the web drama “새벽 세시”, as well as MV for the group APRIL, the taekwondo group KTIGERS ZERO or the group SNUPER.

While the first teaser of the web drama will be broadcast on February 28th at 6 pm KST, the producers and actors take the stage to present themselves to the press. Is then broadcast a video revealing plates of the original author. SOHEE then declares that she accepted the role because she was curious to discover the life of a fan who devotes her life to her idol. For EUNGI, his motivation is mainly drawn from the fuzzy romance that a fan carries for her idol, which is located between love and admiration, thus standing out from the typical love stories that we find most of the time on TV.

The two main actors were eager to interpret their role, directly linked to their profession. SOHEE particularly wanted to experience what fans might feel for her or any other idols. EUNGI, he discovers life under the lights in this role. He also admires the devotion of a fan to her idol and more particularly that the mere sight of the latter can make someone happy. MAY J LEE, who comes from the dance world, wanted to challenge herself with this web drama.

DABI wanted to participate in this project because she is herself a fan of Kpop and finds herself in her role. She therefore invites everyone to view the teaser which will be available on Friday on YouTube and Naver, to have a taste of this web drama which will no doubt please as much as the webtoon from which it comes.
