CRAVITY: Remember them.

The Korean group CRAVITY 크래비티 makes its debut during a showcase broadcast live on the V Live site this Tuesday, April 14.

New group of STARSHIP Entertainment, CRAVITY is composed of nine members: SERIM (leader), JUNGMO, WONJIN, MINHEE, WOOBIN, TAEYOUNG, ALLEN, HYEONGJUN and SEONGMIN (maknae). The boys make their debuts with the album HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE.

The showcase begins with the broadcast of a clip presenting the members and their title song “Break all the rules“, then the group goes on stage to perform their first title, “Jumper“. The boys are dressed in black and white, and behind them is a screen with reddish hues. To allow fans around the world to understand, certain passages of the showcase are translated in real time into several languages. Then, the group poses so that fans have time to take screenshots of the members before they appear one by one.

The boys express their joy at finally making their debuts, even if they are nervous about being on stage. Most boys agree with TAEYOUNG that it’s a dream come true, and thank their fans for supporting them. The leader SERIM then explains the meaning of the name of their group CRAVITY which combines the terms Creativity and Gravity. They then thank Jooheon of Monsta X for having composed for them the song “Jumper” which they performed just before.

To get to know the members, they’re playing a bingo. Nine keywords are displayed on the screen in relation to a member, and the member explains each of the words and how they are related to them. SERIM says that he has been playing football since childhood, that he loves cheese balls. ALLEN explains that his name’s prononciation is Run, that he raises three cats at home, that he is of the year of the rabbit and that although he is one of the oldest in the group, he is like the youngest, full of aegyo (cute actions). JUNGMO says he colored his hair purple because it is his favorite color and he loves to eat burgers. He considers himself to be the sexiest in the group.

WOOBIN talks about the fact that he cooks a lot for the members but that he cannot eat tomatoes. He is described as being a small bear, because of his soft and serious voice and his pleasant character. He particularly likes taking selfies. WONJIN thinks he has charming lips that he used to touch. For his debuts, he chose to dye his hair in burgundy to stand out. MINHEE says he can’t sleep without a blanket, so he hopes fans have it too so they don’t get colds. He is also the biggest in the group but thinks that SEONGMIN, who is not finished growing, could catch up with him. He then goes on to say that he particularly enjoys spending time with members playing games while eating snacks.

HYEONGJUN sometimes speaks in dialect and likes to spray Cologne on his bed. He too likes to do aegyo, and loves photography. TAEYOUNG thinks he looks like a fennec and that his charm comes from his eyes. His favorite colors are gray and beige, loves blackberries and draws many roses. His favorite activity is badminton, which he has practiced since he was at school. SEONGMIN explains that he has a mole on his nose, which is said to bring good luck. He practices calligraphy and likes spicy fried chicken and doesn’t think he has food he doesn’t like.

Halfway through the showcase, the group is surprised to learn that more than 425,000 people are watching the live, and that they have received nearly 150 million hearts on the VLive application. They then read some comments left by the fans. ALLEN addresses a few words in English to reassure international fans, asking them to wait a bit so they can meet them when the international context due to the corona virus improves and hopes everyone will stay healthy.

A behind the scenes of the photoshoot of their album is broadcast. All were very happy to participate in the shooting, a first enriching experience for all. They hope the feedback will be positive and that it will be said that they work hard and well. CRAVITY then presents the three versions of the album HIDEOUT : REMEMBER WHO WE ARE. MINHEE presents the group as a group focusing on performance. HYEONGJUN continues with a presentation of albums containing photocards, stickers, polaroids, bookmarks and many other surprises. While preparing for their debut, MINHEE tell that their manager wanted to scare them by claiming that the studio in which they were rehearsing was haunted by a ghost. WONJIN thinks he did see a ghost …

TAEYOUNG is elected as the member that best fits the group concept. For ALLEN, TAEYOUNG‘s eyes make him stand out the most in the group’s photos. He latter then reproduces a pose from the photobook of their albums. The songs are then presented, in total of seven: “Top of the chain“, “Break all the rules“, “Jumper“, “Blackout“, “Strange“, “Cloud 9” and “Star“. Besides, Jooheon of Monsta X gave them a lot of advice when they are on stage so that they mark their audience. In particular, he advised them to be fierce.

To thank the 190 million hearts received by the fans, the members each make three hearts. They then choose their favorite song from the album. MINHEE selected “Jumper” because it was given to them by Jooheon. TAEYOUNG, chose “Blackout“. They are still reading some comments on one of the group’s photo teasers where we only see the legs of the members. The boys then try to guess who is where with the fans in comments. Continuing the showcase, CRAVITY performs the title “Strange“, surrounded by stars.

The boys then present their title song “Break all the rules” and JUNGMO sings a part which he considers to be the best part of the song then HYEONGJUN shows part of the choreography. They then describe the song in fifty words, defining it as powerful and with a strong performance. Before presenting this title for the first time on stage, they take the time to answer fans’ questions. SERIM hopes to film in amusement parks or on a trip and hopes that the Covid-19 will leave soon. WONJIN wants to quickly make fansigns and fanmeetings to meet their fans and finally, each of the boys compliments another member. JUNGMO sings a cute little song, followed by HYEONGJUN then SERIM and finally ALLEN. At the end, the other members imitate them to decide which member is the cutest among them.

They end the showcase by thanking everyone and in particular the fans who have followed these two and a half hours with their attention, and wish everyone good health in these difficult times. They hope to receive a lot of attention and will work hard in the future to live up to the expectations of the fans. The video for “Break all the rules” is broadcast, then CRAVITY goes up on stage one last time to present the song marking their debuts. A making off of the clip concludes the evening spent with the group. This showcase ends with more than a million spectators and more than 250 million hearts sent to the boys.
