
JUNG JOON YOUNG and CHOI JONG HOON are two singers found guilty of rape and other crimes, of one year and two and a half years, respectively.
The Court of Appeal sentenced JUNG JOON YOUNG, a disgraced singer and television celebrity, and CHOI JONG HOON, former member of the boy band FTIsland, to five years and two and a half years in prison, respectively, for having sexually assaulted several women in 2016.

The commutation of sentences came after JUNG JOON YOUNG and CHOI JONG HOON were sentenced to six and five years respectively, by the Seoul Central District Court in November 2019.
JUNG JOON YOUNG, 31, and CHOI JONG HOON, 30, were found guilty of raping at drinking parties in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, in January 2016 and in Daegu in March of same year, with other members of a mobile discussion forum.
JUNG JOON YOUNG was sentenced to a heavier prison term for secretly filming sex with women and sharing the footage with friends in an online chat room.
Prosecutors had asked for heavier prison terms, seven and five years respectively, for JUNG JOON YOUNG and CHOI JONG HOON, at the trial.
