Several days after the title music of the new Japanese album of BTS is released, an MV finally lets you discover the universe imagined for “Stay gold“

After the release of their latest album “Map Of The Soul: 7“, which was a success around the world, BTS is now setting out to conquer Japan with a new Japanese album called “Map Of The Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~ ”whose release is scheduled for July 15th.
In addition, at the beginning of March, it was announced that music, sung by BTS and taken from their album, will be part of the soundtrack of the Japanese drama “Spiral Labyrinth – DNA Forensic Investigation“, whose broadcast has started on April 24th. On this occasion, BTS had then declared that the title went in the direction of the atmosphere and the scenario of the drama.
So it’s the single “Stay gold” which is part of this soundtrack and which allows the public to make a first impression of the album. Indeed, on June 19th, said music was available on various listening platforms such as Spotify, Deezer or Apple music.
So it’s a pretty sweet sound, worthy of a ride, which is in the spotlight for this album. The lyrics show a love of nostalgia and hope. In a short time, the title arrives to be number 1 in the rankings in more than 80 countries.

However, it was not until this morning that the announcement of the publication of the MV on the YouTube channel of the BTS agency (Big hit Entertainment) was made during a Japanese program. Program in which some video extracts had been released as well as the official time of broadcast of the clip. It was therefore at 6 pm KST that it was finally possible for the public to view the MV and discover the universe linked to the title song of the album “Map Of The Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~” after several waiting days.
Like music, MV stands for hope and love, here friendly. We can appreciate this feeling from the first seconds of the clip and until the last. If the solitary passages of RM, JIN, SUGA, J-HOPE, JIMIN, V and JUNGKOOK (member of BTS) show moments during which they are thoughtful, disturbed and distressed, the moments spent together, they stage a group of happy, joyful, smiling friends who breathe the joy of life.
The decorations and their colors also echo this idea. The tones used for the individual stories are rather dark, only the fire or the outside light allows us to see what is really going on in the room and thus to distinguish dilapidated and unhealthy places. Following which, the group moments are very colorful. The clothes, the decorations and the buildings are tinged with pale, soft and pleasant colors, almost restful. The rooms on the verge of collapse then give way to a convivial terrace.
This idea that happiness is present only when they are reunited is then reinforced when each of them is led towards the others and they find themselves all together again in a vast flowering and colorful plain.
Appreciated by the public, in just 42 minutes, the clip already recorded more than a million “likes” on YouTube, becoming the Japanese MV of a Korean artist to reach this number so quickly. 10 hours after its release, “Stay gold” then has more than 17 million views and nearly 4 million “likes”.

It will then be possible to find BTS on July 13th, during an exclusive performance written and produced by Jungkook by the name of “Your eyes tell” on a Japanese program.
