Currently during the monsoon season, parts of South Korea are inundated and the inhabitants helpless.

President Moon Jae In on Friday designated seven cities and regions in the center of the country affected by the recent torrential rains as special disaster zones, in order to grant them state support.
The seven regions concerned are Anseong in Gyeonggi Province, Cheorwon in Gangwon Province, Jecheon and Eumseong in North Chungcheong Province and Cheonan and Asan in South Chungcheong Province. Residents are suffering significant damage from heavy rains in recent days.
Because of these rains, the toll rises to 17 dead and 10 missing. More than 2,500 people were evacuated and a large number of buildings, over 6,000 were destroyed.
This declaration of special disaster zone will allow the state to take charge of 50 to 80% of repairs and the process will also allow the victims to receive government assistance to cover living costs and a reduction in gas bills, water and electricity as well as health insurance premiums and other public charges.
