YG Entertainment has announced that the release of its boy group TREASURE‘s full debut album, originally slated for late 2020, has been postponed.
On October 30th, with boy group TREASURE set to make its comeback on November 6th, its agency YG Entertainment announced that the group’s plans for the end of the year were slightly changed. Indeed, it was initially planned that the group will release by the end of 2020 three singles and a first full album. But finally the release of the latter is postponed to January 2021, at a date still unknown, to unload the boys’ end-of-year program, already full with the many events that mark the music industry at this period and to which the group is invited. This does not change the release of the third mini-album of the group “THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER THREE“, that of the clip of “MMM” as well as its promotion in musical programs.

Thanks to the TREASURE MAKERS who supported the debuts of TREASURE as well as its evolution.
After TREASURE debuted on August 7th, thanks to the support and encouragement from the fans, we were able to make three singles within three months.
Today we want to take a brief update on the program and TREASURE’s full debut album that fans are most curious about.
TREASURE’s third single album “THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER THREE” to be released on November 6th is gearing up for the longest period of promotion until the end of the year.
In December, various end-of-year musical shows and award ceremonies will take place. For this reason, we plan to work harder on the song “MMM” until the end of the year rather than rushing to release TREASURE’s first full album. In addition, the first full album in the “THE FIRST STEP” series will be released next year in January, and we want to start 2021 with the TREASURE MAKERS.“
YG Entertainment concludes its statement with another piece of good news for fans of the group: the revival of TREASURE MAP, the group’s variety show, in January, on the occasion of the release of the first full album. Games, competitions, hidden cameras, vlogs, this show offers different content that allows fans to follow the twelve members in their daily life. It is a very nice way to get to know HYUNSUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, MASHIHO, JAEHYUK, ASAHI, YEDAM, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, JEONGWOO and JUNGHWAN and to discover the different facets of their respective personalities. It’s also another way for boys to communicate with their fans than their Twitter account.
Aired every Friday from January 17th to July 24th, 2020 on the TREASURE Youtube channel, the show currently has 28 episodes. In early October, a twenty-ninth was released exceptionally on the occasion of the harvest festival, Chuseok, one of the most important traditional festivals in South Korea. The rest of the time the show was put on hold due to the very busy promotional periods for TREASURE. It would therefore seem that the daily meeting will take place again but once again the date of resumption is still unknown.
“The last good news concerns the program “TREASURE MAP”, which has been put on hold due to preparations for the release of a new album. We will relaunch it with the release of the first full album. We hope for everyone’s eager support and love.”
TREASURE will return by then on November 6th with its third single “THE FIRST STEP STEP: CHAPTER THREE” and its title track “MMM“.
