Singer PSY‘s “Gangnam style” music video has surpassed 4 billion views.
PSY posted a message and photo to his Instagram on the afternoon of March 7th, “2021.03.07. #Gangnam Style #4billionviews.”
The photo contains an image of the “Gangnam style” 4 billion views celebration.
This is the first time in eight years and seven months since the release of “Gangnam style” in July 2012, that a PSY title has reached this record.
“Gangnam style” gained enormous popularity both domestically and internationally upon its release, and was also ranked second on the US Billboard’s main chart, “Hot 100”. It is also a song where the horse’s dance is the main point.
The rock singer PSY, made his artistic journey and is an ultra popular singer in South Korea. Having first signed with YG Entertainment, PSY created their own agency P.NATION in which the artists JESSI, CRUSH, DAWN, HYUNA, HEIZE and most recently D.ARK are currently housed. Currently P.NATION and JYP Entertainment are collaborating on an audition project to create two groups of boys who will perform internationally.
