IKON : Between dream and reality.

This Thursday, April 22, the IKON proposed us a performance with as inspiration the science-fiction movie « Inception ».

For this new episode, the groups had to exchange their titles and transform it to appropriate this new title and thus « reborn ».

ATEEZ having selected the band for their own cover, IKON had the opportunity to discuss the many choices in the discography of their younger brothers. By a show of hands, they decided to take on the title « Inception » inspired by the universe of its cinematographic homonym.

Coming fifth in the ranking, IKON decided to take into account all the compliments and criticisms to be able to surpass themselves.

The members DK and BOBBY turned into producers for the cover, transforming the song into a title that could have appeared in the album of their group. Between the original and the cover; the group imposed their hip-hop atmosphere to the title.

For the choreography, SONG and JAY reveal that there were many versions of the chorus, changing each time to match the perfection they expect and also to recognize the style of the group.

The group emmerges us in the confusion between the dream and the reality, between moving decors and effects of lights, emmerging the scene under colors as much warm as cold and of filter, the passage of BOBBY being supposedly an imagination.

Accompanied by dancers, the scenes follow one another between the beautiful and urban settings. A scene with a hydraulic platform that folds can remind us of the scene of this famous film by Christopher Nolan, the city folding on itself.

IKON keep their hip-hop style, whether in their outfits, which had led the group ATEEZ on a title assumption since some members had crossed the other group in the corridor. But also the interpretation of the music, BOBBY rapping forcefully before falling into the void.

Their performance became a search for the other between dream and reality, trying to get the person to wake up so that they could live a real « dream » with them, going back and forth between the two universes to bring them along.

Their performance is available for viewing, leaving us then the pleasure of discovering this title transformed to match them.
