WILLIAM CHA started creating songs in 2016 because he had some messages that he wanted to express. Then he began to upload tracks on Soundcloud under the name LIL QUOKKA. The quokka is a kind of squirrel from Australia known for being so smiley that he owns the title of “the happiest animal in the world”, see by yourself, he definitely deserves it !

First on a rather rap style, LIL QUOKKA’s style got softer with time and the artist is now targeting something more melodic. He describes his style as soft and simple. Minimalism inspired sounds with catchy hooks.

The duo DNERIF was in 2020 on the poster of KB RAPBEAT FESTIVAL, one of the biggest rap-hiphop festivals in Korea. On the same day, artists such as BEENZINO, 10CM, CRUSH, E SENS, DPR LIVE, SUPERBEE, UNEDUCATED KID, VERBAL JINT, DVWN, LAYONE were planned. Due to COVID-19, the event happened online.

LIL QUOKKA ends the interview by announcing his future projects:

“The current goal is to make DNEIRF more public. So I hope that the new single in preparation will contribute greatly to promoting the group. And compared to many works, I want to have more videos in the future.” – LIL QUOKKA
