CNU wrapped up the final performance of the musical “Gwangju” on May 16th, receiving enthusiastic cheers and applause from the audience that filled the “Gwangju” Citizens’ Cultural Center. That’s about a month of performance, since her first performance at the LG Art Center.
The musical “Gwangju” depicts the story of a citizen of Gwangju facing the tyranny of the New Army, focusing on “Park Han Soo”, a member of a unit of convenience, sent to Gwangju, and citizens of the Mafia in May 1980. CNU played the main character “Park Han Soo”, being his first role since he was dismissed from his military post, which he carried out brilliantly.
In particular, the role Park Han Soo, who was sent to spread rumors and encourage violent protests, was greeted with enthusiasm by portraying a man, who was in agony watching the citizens of Gwangju who did not give in to the ploys of the power of ‘State.
CNU, who closed her performance, expressed his special affection, saying, “Gwangju is such a precious and special work for me.” In addition he added
