It’s June 10th in South Korea, so it’s the birthday of JUN, member of the group SEVENTEEN. This is a large group so I suggest you discover a little more about each member through this written portrait.

The member in the spotlight today is JUN, the Chinese prince of the group.

JUN was born on June 10, 1996 in China, put on the scene from an early age, JUN remains a humble and simple person. He often confides that if he was not a member of SEVENTEEN, he would like to open a Chinese restaurant in Seoul.

He has a very strong personality, although very shy during interviews due to his lack of proficiency in Korean, he likes to make others laugh and have fun. When he gets a chance to speak Chinese, JUN almost becomes a different person, his Weibo posts show his humorous ability.

As said before, JUN has always been in the spotlight, having been a child actor, he has immense popularity in his country, so much so that his head is everywhere in his hometown.

He is a big fan of Chinese ballads, during interviews, he says that he often sings in the shower, moreover he unveiled his Spotify playlist entitled “Jun’s chinese song recommendations” to fans and even released several covers which allowed fans to discover his immense talent as a singer.

JUN is also a big cat lover, he collects funny and cute cat videos and always draws little cats on his autographs.

Knowing many Chinese students who love Kpop, JUN tried his luck and went to South Korea. Recruited by Pledis Entertainment in 2012, JUN becomes an intern. At the time, he did not speak Korean well and stayed with Mingming, another Chinese intern. Unlike Mingming, he made his debut with the group on May 26th, 2015, as a dancer and member of the “performance unit”.

Shortly after the debut, JUN returned to his acting career in China and played the role of a vampire in the webdrama “Untouchable“.

In 2018, he participated, with THE8, in the Chinese survival show “Chao Yin Zhan Ji” where he showed his abilities through numerous covers of SEVENTEEN songs and Chinese songs. Fans discover his unique path and begin to value him for his singing.

His career took a huge turn when he released his first Chinese single “Can you sit by my side?” in 2018, the title is a huge hit in China and reinforces the huge popularity of the one nicknamed “Prince of China” by fans.

A year later, JUN was given the opportunity to be the hero of a Chinese mobile game ad showing off his beauty and charm. He then released his first soundtrack on June 4, 2020: the Chinese version of “Dream”, the theme of the drama “The King: Eternal Monarch”.

During the “Ideal Cut” concert in 2019, he surprises fans with his solo “Echo“, a rock song that he performs in Korean with a lot of confidence in himself a real charisma. Since then, the shy JUN has given way to a smarter, more talkative and more relaxed JUN.

We wish him a happy birthday, hoping that this year will bring him success and happiness, both in his professional and personal life and that the group will have another year full of projects.
