ATEEZ x BLACKPINK: At the top for the first half of 2021

ATEEZ and BLACKPINK’s member ROSE placed first in each of the top female and male idols categories that shined the most in the first half of 2021.

The global K-pop fandom platform “Who’s fan” held a vote from June 29th to July 5th on the theme “Who’s PICK” in the first half of 2021, Who is the best female / male idol who shone in the first half of 2021? “

Many artists active in the first half of 2021 were nominated for the vote, which was based on recommendations from fans through official Who’s fan SNS accounts. In the first half of the year, Aespa, Dreamcatcher, Oh My Girl, Itzy, Stacy, Brave Girls, Twice, Mamamoo, (G) I-dle, Rose, Weekly and Rocket Punch were nominated.

BLACKPINK – ROSE

Kang Daniel, Wonho, Treasure, ATEEZ, Monsta, Enhypen, NCT Ddream, Seventeen, Tomorrow x together, Onf, Bts, Shinee, Kim Woo Suk, Astro and Nu’est were nominated for male artists.

The vote recorded around 700,000 global votes, and the rankings have fluctuated endlessly, drawing attention to who will be selected as the # 1 artist in the first half of this year by the global K-pop fandom.

The female idol “ROSE” and the male idols of “ATEEZ” topped the list with 32.2% and 28.24% respectively, after changing their rankings just before the vote. Mamamoo placed second and Twice third in the first half, while Tomorrow x together and Treasure were second and third respectively.

In response, Who’s fan will publish a special article and run in-app contextual ads for a week for ROSE and ATEEZ, who won the top spot in the vote.

Currently, the Who’s fan application votes on the theme “Who’s PICK, the best male / female rookie idol who shone in the first half of 2021?“. The global fandom is paying close attention to who will be selected as the most active new artist in the first half of this year.

The global K-pop fandom platform Who’s fan has managed to grow 5.5 million users in one year thanks to the support of the global K-pop fandom since its official launch on May 22, 2020. Thanks to the app , it has become a K-pop staple, presenting various events and content for fans through collaboration with K-pop artists, such as Mnet’s “M Countdown” global pre-vote.
