NIK: The group debuts one year after being selected
The Japanese-Korean group NIK will make its debut on September 27th, 2021.
One year after the group was selected through the Japan-Korea audition survival program ‘G-EGG‘, the members of NIK will finally make their debut. NIK (for “Nippon Korea nb 1“) is an 11 member boyband group, with 5 Japanese and 6 Korean members. Some of the members belong to other active groups, such as GUNMIN from B.I.G, KOGUN and PARKHA from LUCENTE. After the group’s debut was announced on August 29, 2020, the coronavirus situation made it difficult for the group to promote in both countries postponing it.

Their agency SVent announced via their social network that “NIK will release its debut album and start activities“. The announced date is September 27, 2021.

With the support of major music labels in Japan such as ARGS Production, the members of NIK wish to expand their activities in Japan and beyond. In this regard, their agency justifies:
“NIK has the potential to grow as a group that will grasp international K-pop fandoms including Japan and Korea, with all the members having outstanding singing ability, rap, and performance.”
