WAYV - YANGYANG
YANGYANG, born October 10, 2000, was featured in the SM ENTERTAINMENT project in 2018, the project named after SM ROOKIES. He was announced in with two other members: HENDERY and XIAOJUN. The arrival of these three new members in such a project was to bring them into a whole new group, which is now one of the subunits of NCT: WAYV. YANGYANG entered precisely this project on July 17th, 2018, the agency having introduced the three members before first photos of them.
After the publication of the first photos giving a preview to fans of these new members, the agency will then post short videos of their presentations. YANGYANG describes himself in his, sharing some initial information about him, such as his favorite color which is red, or his favorite city which is Düsseldorf, or also that he likes to play with his hair a lot.
It was on December 31st, 2018 that a first video of WAYV was posted on the agency’s SNS. This first video is called “SEE THE V“, as an introduction for the group. To follow up on this, the band will release their very first MV, which is a Chinese version of the song “Regular“, originally performed by NCT 127.
YANGYANG speaks Chinese, German, and English well, as well as Korean. He also chose to do Spanish during his studies, having the choice between French and Spanish, he chose the latter because this language seemed simpler to him than French. In fact, in one of his videos, posted on the official WAYV channel, we see him studying the German language. He also released videos to show fans the rap and dance skills he gained during his debut and career.

YANGYANG has quite regularly performed lives on his Instagram account, in which he likes to tell several anecdotes, whether about him, about his career, he generally likes to talk a lot, during these lives, about him in order to share with the fans the maximum of things. YANGYANG shows himself to be extrovert during the different videos, the different lives with the group.
He has the position of rapper in the group, within WAYV. He learned to dance and sing “on the job”, as he doesn’t qualify his profession as a passion from birth, but as “fate”.
In addition to being a good rapper, he also lent his voice during a featuring with artist IMLAY for the song called “Asteroid“, a song from the artist’s album “DYSTOPIA” released in February 2020.
He is now on the NCT 2020 project, in the two-part album called “RESONANCE”. He appeared in the “90’s Love” MV with TEN and WINWIN, also being members of WAYV.
