SM Entertainment’s new project unit, GOT THE BEAT, will be present with a new song “Step back“.
On December 29th at midnight, SM Entertainment posted individual teasers of the other 3 unit members, KARINA, WENDY and HYOYEON from GOT THE BEAT, on SMTOWN’s official SNS accounts, and amplified the wait for the release of GOT THE BEAT the unit’s new song “Step back“.
The new song “Step back” is an addictive R&B hip-hop song in which repeated variations of bass and instrument, with lyrics that contain direct expressions of a woman with high self-esteem, in love with her lover. The members’ unique vocals and strong singing skills increased the completeness of the song.
We can’t wait to see GOT THE BEAT‘s spectacular performance through the performance of “Step back“, which will be unveiled during “SM Town Live 2022: SMCU Express @ KWANGYA” on January 1st.
GOT THE BEAT is the first unit of the “GIRLS ON TOP (GOT)” project in which female artists from SM Entertainment present a new combination of units by theme, and consists of seven members, including BOA, TAEYEON and HYOYEON from SNSD , SEULGI and WENDY from RED VELVET and KARINA and WINTER from AESPA. The song will officially be released on January 3rd.
