On this Thursday, March 10, KSTATION TV attends, during a face-to-face showcase, the debut of the group TAN, from THINK ENTERTAINMENT.

Composed of members CHANGSUN, HYUNYEOP, JOOAN, TAEHOON, JAEJUN, JISUNG and SUNGHYUK, this new male group begins its career with the promising title “Du du du“, taken from its first mini album “1TAN”. The members may not be unfamiliar to you since they participated in the Wild idol show, broadcast on the MBC channel, with the aim of forming the future group TAN. this particular name is actually an acronym, meaning “To All Nations“, aiming to be a group that can touch the hearts of fans around the world, beyond Korean borders. For this, one of the songs on the album is the English version of the title song. TAN affirms it from the start of the showcase, its strength is its teamwork! So, the boys are confident for its debut, having prepared hard for their fans, while being careful of their health with the covid.
The concept of the group seems to be the dichotomy at first glance, since half of the members are dressed in white, the other half in black. Contrary to what one might expect during a first showcase, the artists seem relaxed, and even joke with the MC. When they pose one by one for the journalists present, we can hear them backstage encouraging each other, which further relaxes the atmosphere of this showcase. The boys seem happy and outgoing, and proudly present their debut album. Once the photo moment is over, they briefly present their album as proof of the group’s potential, in an R&B-pop style. As for the clip, the singers claim to have spent days and nights on it, in order to show their singing abilities as well as possible on the screen, but also in dancing. Thus, TAN wastes no more time and presents its very first performance of “Du du du“, with an enigmatic and striking rhythm. The young men seem perfectly at ease on stage, and this is transmitted in the clip, which is broadcast afterwards.
« I am relieved to be able to present myself at 100% of my abilities, after training so hard » —CHANGSUN
This impression of dichotomy in the clothes is also reflected in the dance and the choice of paintings in the clip, since in certain passages of the choreography, members oppose each other, as if they were their own reflection in a mirror. As for the hues, we find black and red, as well as blue and white, before ending on an ocher kinetic, as a symbiosis of all these colors. Once the clip for the title song was broadcast, the group went back on stage to perform a second song, “My girl“, a title intended to be cute, and addressed to TAN fans. Then, we discover a medley of the mini-album, also including an intro called “Fix you pt.1“, and the English version of “du du du“.
After having rested a little, the artists take the time to answer a few questions from the journalists. When asked for one of the strengths to have to participate in a survival show, like the one they attended, TAEHOON chooses teamwork, because you have to be ready to work with strangers, and constantly persevere in your efforts. . JAEJUN adds that being in good health is essential to keep up with the frenetic pace of these broadcasts. When they were able to go on stage for the first time in their lives, in front of an audience, it was a feeling of joy, excitement and fascination that invaded them, a feeling that lives in them today, only three months since the end of the “Wild Idol” show.
« For me, TAN represents a close-knit family. We have never argued with each other, and choose to solve everything using rock-paper-scissors » – JAEJUN.
Then, they were asked what role model in the music industry they have, and they in unison chose MONSTA X, for its charisma and charismatic concepts. From then on, the boys’ goal was to find their own musical imprint, and to meet their fans. The group thus concludes their showcase, joy and confidence radiating from their faces. They may have made mistakes on this day, but they are satisfied with them and their performance, and warmly thank those who will support them.
The words of our reporter: “What a pleasure to see such a friendly group. The members seem to have charming personalities, and I wish them good luck for these debuts.“
