ATEEZ : SEONGHWA celebrates his birthday

We are celebrating today, on this April 3, SEONGHWA‘s birthday.

SEONGHWA, whose real name is PARK SEONGHWA, was born on April 3, 1998 in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, and he celebrates his 24th birthday today. He made his debut on October 24, 2018 as part of the group ATEEZ, which was called KQ Fellaz during the pre-debut period, with the title song « Pirate King » (whose clip was by the way filmed in the Sahara desert) from the first mini album « TREASURE EP.1 : All To Zero ».

He is the eldest of the group and officially occupies the positions of singer and visual. SEONGHWA is a versatile member, like the other members, as he is good at dancing as well as rapping. He originally auditioned for KQ Entertainment as a rapper but he later changed his position to become one of ATEEZ‘s main vocalists. The performance of « GANG » during SBS’s Gayo Daejeon, whose original music is by artist Rain, is a testament to his talent as a rapper and dancer.

SEONGHWA stands out above all on stage for his elegant appearance, his singing and his facial expressions which always manage to seduce the public. He knows how to transcribe the emotions of each of the group’s music. It was especially during the era of « Inception » in 2020 that his charm, during performances, was most talked about on social networks, with in particular the iconic moment of the choreography where he lifts his top. He got also himself talked about, a little more recently, during the promotion of « Deja Vu », a song showing a whole new sensual side of the group. It was especially one of his facecams during Inkigayo that marked the ATINYs (name of the fandom), with in particular his sexy outfit and his strong stage presence.

SEONGHWA‘s versatility allowed him to win his spurs for the first time in 2021 (alongside YUNHO, SAN and JONGHO) as an actor for the KBS2 drama named « Imitation », in which he played the role of Seyoung. He also told the ATINYs that he wanted to be an actor in a drama again, but with playing the role of a villain this time.

In order to celebrate his birthday, SEONGHWA released a clip of his cover of Pink Sweat$‘s song « At My Worst » featuring Kehlani on ATEEZ official YouTube channel. Artist Pink Sweat$ also wished SEONGHWA a happy birthday on Twitter.
