The group BLANK2Y boasted of a wide musical spectrum with its debut album.
BLANK2Y (U, Mikey, Sodam, Louis, Youngbin, Siwoo, Sungjun, DK, Donghyuk) released a teaser video for their first mini album “K2YI: CONFIDENCE [Thumbs Up]” on their official SNS at midnight on May 22.
The released video features a total of five highlights from the album, as well as the appearance of BLANK2Y, who transformed into a race car driver and an astronaut. BLANK2Y captivated the eyes and ears of viewers by delivering visuals that fit the concepts of the two album versions, “GO (질주)” and “UP (비상).”
Starting with the intro track “[R]“, which opens the first album, the title track “Thumbs up“, which adds a synth sound to the trap genre, “Touch”, which has an impressive melody, and the A special fan song “별자리 (Shinning star)” which features the sweet guitar sound and emotional vocals of BLANK2Y members, the group predicted throughout the album.
In particular, BLANK2Y added an English version of “Thumbs up” for foreign fans, already showing their “fan lover”.
BLANK2Y showed outstanding dancing and singing skills even before their debut. Fans are curious to know which artists they will be recognized through this album and what kind of performance they will show with their title track “Thumbs up”.
The first series of BLANK2Y’s K2Y Trilogy, “K2Y I: CONFIDENCE [Thumbs Up],” will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. KST on May 24. Meanwhile, BLANK2Y will hold their first online and offline showcase at 8 p.m. KST on the same day.
