MCND
TOP MEDIA boy group MCND make it comeback this Thursday July 7th with a mini-album THE EARTH: SECRET MISSION CHAPTER: 2.

The showcase taking place in Seoul allows us to meet the members of the group; CASTLE J, BIC, WIN, MINJAE, HUIJUN, so that they can introduce us to their latest mini album.
The group begins its showcase with a photo shoot, eleven months after its previous album. It is with big smiles, but sometimes shy, that each of the boys strikes a pose, varying the positions before directly presenting the title song of the album, entitled “#MOOD ”.
A video teaser introducing the members is broadcast before that, then MCND performs its song for the first time marking its expected comeback. The boys sing live, a rarity during press showcases, and are full of energy. They leap onto the stage, and fill the room with their presence.
Thereafter, a medley of their album is presented, so that we discover the six tracks composing it. The rest of the showcase is an opportunity for the group to discuss with the journalists present on this day. They begin by revealing that they did not realize this morning that today was their comeback, after so many months of absence. However, they did not remain idle, since they made a world tour, passing in particular by France on this occasion. They were very grateful for the reception received during the tour, and compared it to a waking dream. This motivated them all the more to make this comeback, by trying to present a more “cool ” and masculine image themselves.
« We are a group that composes our own songs, so that we can convey the messages we want in our albums, but we are also strong in dance and performance. » – CASTLE J
The group also proves its efforts, the MC worrying by seeing how much some sweat after the performance of “#MOOD“. WIN explains the album as the very expression of the members’ desire to meet their fans all over the world, fans bearing the name GEM. The singers also express their impatience to be able to perform new songs in front of their fans, and reveal the “secret mission” of their album as being to “catch” their fans and spend time with them. CASTLE J declares that he does not want to confine himself to a single musical style, and that is why in this album, we can find both hip-hop and ballads.
The title song is presented as being dedicated to the children of Generation Z, often found on social networks, explaining the presence of a # in front of the title, like the publications found on the SNS. MINJAE, the group’s main dancer, describes the key point of the choreography as a special gesture made with the hands, supposed to represent a hashtag, as well as a V made with the fingers. The goal for them is above all to have fun in their career, whether on stage, during filming, or even during rehearsals.
Presenting the rest of the album, we then discover the song “ W.A.T.1“, expressing the boys’ stubbornness to succeed, “ Blow“, to encourage people to leave behind all forms of stress, “ Red sun ” is intended to be the representation of a bewitchment aimed at capturing the attention of the public, “ Juice“, which allows members to express who they are deep inside themselves, and finally “ Back to you“, a ballad addressed to GEM so that the group conveys to them what is on their hearts.
It’s then time for a Q&A with the reporters, and the first question is geared towards their recently held world tour.
« When we rehearse, we always like to do it while singing, without necessarily having a microphone, to sound as authentic as possible. » —CASTLE J
BIC expresses its surprise to discover so many fans of the group in the four corners of the world, and its joy to know that the boys are so supported. HUIJUN also states that the experience of concerts in Korea and overseas is different, as overseas fans tend to show their passion for the group more fervently. In addition, MCND is going on tour again next month, having only been in Korea to prepare for this comeback before returning to the side of GEM. Regarding this album, it has been available digitally in order to be in line with its concept, as being oriented around Generation Z technologies and social networks, in order to be listenable on phones.
CASTLE J shyly talks about his involvement in the composition of the group’s songs, being the one who writes the most songs for MCND. His wish is to be able to write solo songs for each of the members, songs which will have to be the representation of his singer. The group has also launched the Tik Tok application to be closer to the GEM, and declares to post on it for pleasure rather than by obligation, as soon as they have time to do so between two rehearsals or schedule obligations.
Finally, in order to close the showcase, the leader declares that the objective of the group for this period of promotion is to obtain the first place in a musical program, but above all, that the music of the group finds fans everywhere in the world. This is how the group thanks the journalists present, while recalling that they will perform their comeback stage at M!COUNTDOWN that same day, as well as a live performance at 10 p.m. this evening.
The words of our reporter: “It is always with pleasure that I meet this group, with endearing and hardworking members. Hoping that they will find the success they deserve! »
