An adventure begins for JAY, lead singer of the group iKON, as he will perform at the Woori Financial Art Hall in the Olympic Park in Seoul in the musical “DRACULA”.

The musical is based on the novel by Irish author Bram Stoker published in 1897, which premiered in 1995 in the Czech Republic. Unlike the Broadway musical, “DRACULA” is a very lyrical play and the story of a man of misfortune who was punished with death. Mixing moving, lyrical music describing the love of Dracula and Adriana with applied choreography, the play, which was performed between 2000 and 2006, was praised by critics and the public.
JAY got the role of “Dumitru”, a servant who has maintained a deep and faithful friendship with Dracula for four centuries now.
The idol shares the stage with Shin Sung-woo who will play Dracula, once again since he had the same role 13 years ago. Kim Sun-Ah who will play Adrianna, the wife of the terrible Dracula. She is no stranger to the Korean public or the theater, having had roles in “Iron Mask” and “The Three Musketeers”. Other big names in film and theater will accompany them during the performances.
The creative team has teamed up once again to merge the unique classical sensibility of European musicals with the lyrical sensibility that domestic audiences can relate to. Musical director Kim Seong-Soo, author of the musicals “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Big Fish” and “Bernarda Alba,” hopes to create a buzz for the musical “Dracula,” which will be performed from Nov. 15, 2022 to Jan. 15, 2023.
