GOT7 nominated for the MAMA Awards 2022 in the “worldwide fans’ choice category“.
The Mnet Asian Music Awards known as the MAMA Awards is an annual Asian music awards ceremony organized by the entertainment agency CJ E&M.
First inaugurated in South Korea in the 2000s, the awards given to various artists are mostly related to the South Korean pop world. However, with the expansion of Asian culture around the world, many other artists from other Asian countries are nominated and win awards in various categories.
Different categories are presented and allow a diversification of the nominated artists and the recognition of other talents except singing.
It is on the basis of the notoriety of the artists, both in Asia and internationally, the success of their projects, the originality of their works and the impact on their audience that the different awards are categorized.
GOT7 is the first South Korean k-pop group formerly under a South Korean entertainment agency and totally independent to participate in MAMA 2022.
Nominated in the “Worldwide fans’ choice category“, which is reserved for the favorite artists of fans from all over the world. This category includes various k-pop groups and solo artists supported by a close-knit community that often has a unique name attached to the artist or group they support.
GOT7, whose members are international, offers a mix of countries and culture where we find South Korea with members JAY B, YOUNGJAE, YUGYEOM and JINYOUNG. China with JACKSON, Thailand with BAMBAM and Taiwan and the United States with MARK.
The group whose fans, the iGOT7 are also international, gather a community spread across the globe and present on the five continents, in their image.
The boys are now included in the list of nominees for MAMA 2022 as a group alongside other popular artists and have taken another step forward.
Voting is open and at the end of the voting, the winners of each category, entirely chosen and designated by the internet users, will win a unique prize.
