The first single from HWANG MIN HYUN‘s solo album “TRUTH OR LIE” was released on February 20. As this is the first video to listen to some of the six songs from the album, fans around the world are paying close attention to it.

The video begins with the message “Believe what you want“. And HWANG MIN HYUN, who wears a polygraph, answers five questions about himself.
The R&B pop ballad genre song “Honest,” which features a warm piano melody and vintage guitar sounds, is the first to captivate ears. The question “Do you usually have a lot of worries?” leaves a feeling of persistent calm.
“Perfect Type” has a retro pop/hip hop genre with groovy bass riffs, and features a vocal that accentuates restrained sex appeal. In response, HWANG MIN HYUN asked, “Are you a perfect match?”
“Crossword” is a refreshing song with Afro-Cuban hand drum percussion and a simple guitar riff. In the song, which expresses “I” filled with the eyes and modifiers of others, he asked back, “Do you want to be solved?“
“Smile” is an R&B pop song that maximizes excitement through cheerful brass and string sounds. The question “Have you ever wanted to break up?” stimulates the imagination of the listener.
Another R&B pop genre song, “Cube”, is impressive with its sweet falsetto. It contains the hope that one day if you keep approaching it without giving up, you can meet your destiny partner. The question “Do you believe in fate?” enters the heart.
The last part is decorated with the title song of the album “Hidde side“. Various instruments, including a heavy bass sound, were harmonized with HWANG MIN HYUN‘s delicate yet charismatic voice. As well as the question, “Have you answered all the questions honestly?“, letting itself be carried away by an increasing rhythm.
In particular, at the end of the video, two additional interactive videos related to “Truth” and “Lie” appear. When you click “Truth” MIN HYUN rotates the cube containing the word “BELIEVE”, so that only the word “LIE” remains, and if you click “Lie” HWANG MIN HYUN wears a lie detector, with the camera that follows the thread and will tell us that it is not connected. The same phrase “BeLIEve what you want” appeared in the videos, raising questions about what it means.
HWANG MIN HYUN’s solo album “TRUTH OR LIE,” which will be released at 6 p.m. KST on February 27, has the concept of a “truth or lie” game. The agency explained that it contained different aspects of HWANG MIN HYUN, but that meant that it was up to the audience to decide which of them would be true or false.
