KAI, a member of the group EXO, suddenly serves in the army.

SM Entertainment, the group’s agency, said on its official fan community on May 3, “We bring you sudden news regarding KAI’s military service.”

According to SM Entertainment, KAI was preparing for EXO’s upcoming comeback this year. However, due to the recent change in military personnel administration regulations, he will enter the army training center on May 11. After receiving basic military training for a time, he will replace the social service personnel.

SM Entertainment said, “We respect KAI’s intention to enter their service quietly, so that the location and time of admission will not be disclosed. There will be no separate event this day, so we ask for your understanding.”
