SHOW KING NIGHT
SHOW KING NIGHT held a press conference on Friday, July 21 to present its concept during a live press conference on Naver.
Survival dance dedicated to songs of the years 90 and 2000, its first broadcast will begin this day. During the press conference we meet BOOM, MC of the show, TAK JAEHOON, LEE SANGMIN, CHAEYEON, YOON ILSANG, LEETEUK des SUPER JUNIORS and the KOYOTE group who are the judges. Regarding the title, it’s a word game of “king of the dancefloor” and “shocking night“, because you have to be ready to “shock” your audience and judges with your artistic performances. The celebrities present at the press conference want to emphasize that before being a survival, it is the occasion for everyone to have fun together thanks to retro songs, to remember the time when those songs came out and were at the peak of their popularity. The current fashion being Y2K, nothing surprising that a show of this type is born. In addition, in order to really have fun, everyone has a chance to participate without necessarily being a singer or a dancer at the beginning.
To show the future atmosphere of the show, a video highlight is broadcast, where we discover the MC singing on the song “Arabian Night“, a song of 1995, inviting the judges one by one to join him on the set with disco decoration. The dance floor even represents a giant vinyl, showing the care of the details. Regarding the point system, it opposes two teams of which only one can be saved by the judges. It is therefore a show dedicated to memories, not only to the performance, even if these memories are expressed through the dancing and singing of the participants. It also allows us to witness the roots of Kpop, before it becomes the global phenomenon it is today. The inspiration for this show, again declared the producer, comes from the moments spent in the nightclub when he was young, and he hopes to have managed to recreate the same atmosphere in his show.
Commenting on the broadcast of the press conference, we can read comments from future viewers who are eager to see this program tonight. Against all odds, many of the participants are young people in their twenties. As the producer tackles the popularity of the group NEWJEANS with its Y2K concept, he says that what young people feel when they listen to NEWJEANS is what people can feel when they watch the show, since even the clothes have been chosen to respect the retro concept of the show. Whether through dance, song, concept, SHOW KING NIGHT hopes to inject energy into its participants and viewers. To underscore these comments, CHAEYEON even states that at the end of the show, she completely changed her playlist, because she remembered having loved this or that song a few years ago.
The sense of detail is once again highlighted by the celebrities present at the press conference, who say that a performance is analyzed even in the stylism of the participants, like their haircut. It is therefore a show with an overall vision that has a sense of precision.
