SEVENTEEN becomes the second foreign artist to receive this Japanese certification.

The group SEVENTEEN (consisting of S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) has once again proven its immense popularity in Japan.
According to the Japan Record Association on August 10th, SEVENTEEN‘s mini-album “FML“, released on April 24th 2023, surpassed a million copies sold in July 2023, thus earning the “Million” gold disc certification.

With this, SEVENTEEN becomes the first artist of the year to receive the “Million” certification for two of their works in Japan. They had previously achieved this certification in January for their first Japanese EP (extended play) “DREAM“.
Previously, Mariah Carey was the only foreign artist to have received the “Million” certification for two of her works in the same year by the Japan Record Association. This demonstrates SEVENTEEN’s significant popularity in Japan.
Furthermore, SEVENTEEN will be releasing its first Japanese best-of album “ALWAYS YOURS” on August 23rd. It will feature 27 tracks, including the new song “今 – 明日 世界が終わっても” (Now – Even if the world ends tomorrow) and “Sara sara“.
SEVENTEEN is also launching its largest Japanese tour in 2023, titled “SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ TO JAPAN“. The tour will take place in five Japanese cities, including Tokyo, Saitama, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
