THE FAKULTY
Immense tests and a “Random Play dance” worthy of the level of the dancers.

This Saturday, September 9, KSTATION TV organized its first event called “THE FAKULTY”, in the Lyon suburbs (69).
The event, planned for several months, was not promoted voluntarily except with the help of 6 dance cover crews from different departments, M.H PROJECT, RE.Z for the Rhône department, SUNDIAL and NEBULA crew for the Drôme department and GRAVITY crew and Random in Grenoble for the Isère department. The departments of Loire, Savoie and Haute-Savoie were contacted but no fans really came forward.
This voluntary non-advertising was with the aim of limiting the number of people registered to make the best possible event, and 156 people were present for this first “THE FAKULTY“. We invited Daestore, a Kpop store in Lyon, O’100 bubbles and Bubble tea in Montbrison to enhance the event.
During this event, which was broken down into two parts, Kpop fans first had to use their knowledge of Kpop, during various challenges called “Avoir l’œil” (recognizing 119 artists), “Que ta langue ne fourche pas” (With lyrics translated into French, recognize the song and the Kpop artist), “Capture d’écran” (Recognize an MV by having just an image) and many more. They also had to pay attention to Ms. Petsec who was doing little “Quizzes express” and beware of errors, the hours of glue were not far away and you had to have a strong stomach.
The second part of the event was a “Random Play Dance“, well known to Kpop fans, this one was special because it took place in the form of a contest where the departments competed against a jury of 4 experts. dancers and/or aesthetic specialists. In addition KSTATION TV had reserved a surprise for the 3 departments, to spice up this “Random” we had invited Switzerland, through the IDREAM crew. It was therefore 4 teams who competed against each other in good humor and with pleasure.
This “Random Play Dance” was a real surprise with 120 titles from different groups and artists, passing through all generations of Kpop and whose participants had no idea about the songs. What a surprise we had seeing these young dancers perform as well on “Seven” by JUNGKOOK, as on “Candy” by HOT or even “One shot” by BAP or “Crazy” by 4MINUTE. It was a real pleasure for the eyes, a real pledge of passion and the judges were delighted, even indulging in a few dances.
For this first edition, the event was free, upon registration, and we were able to reward the best fans in terms of their Kpop knowledge with lightsticks and the best dancers in each team with albums. At the team level, the Drôme is the team with the best Kpop knowledge, Switzerland won the Random Play Dance and it is the Rhône which obtained first place combining Kpop and Random knowledge. Congratulation to all participants.
A satisfactory result for KSTATION TV, even if there are things to improve for the next edition, the smiles that we were able to see and the feedback that was given allowed us to understand that everyone had a good post- noon. Because for this event the “stars” were Kpop fans.
