KINGDOM: HWON answers some questions

The group KINGDOM attracted attention with a strange atmosphere.

KINGDOM (Hwon, Jahan, Dann, Arthur, Mujin, Louis and Ivan) released HWON’s personal concept photo for its 7th mini album “History of Kingdom: Part Ⅶ. JAHAN” on its SNS at midnight on October 3.

In the photo posted on the same day, HWON flaunts his unusual appearance by dressing perfectly in khaki clothes and blonde hair. With his hands in his pocket, HWON even revealed an intense atmosphere. In another photo, HWON caught viewers’ attention by showing off his gentle charm in a white-colored suit.

The seven-part “History of Kingdom” is an epic poem between a king trying to awaken as a true king and six kings who come from different eras to help him. This album is the last part of season 1, which has lasted for more than three years, and will cover the story of JAHAN, in the “Kingdom of the Sun”.

Ahead of the new album’s release, the HWON member delivered answers via his agency GF Entertainment.

Q. This is your return after 7 months. How do you feel?

I would like to express my gratitude to the fans who generously loved me even during the break. As the final part of “Hystory of Kingdom“, the group will generously show its growth and performances.

Q. How do you feel about the end of your first US tour since you debuted? Is there a performance you want to achieve?

I also want to participate in Asian and European tours to spread the Kingdom name more widely. Solo concerts have also been a long-standing wish.

Q. What was the most memorable episode of “History of Kingdom”?

The most memorable thing seems to be the 5th mini album “백야”, which I participated in at work for the first time since I arrived. It was an opportunity to get closer to the members in a situation where there were a lot of things I didn’t know, and I think I felt a lot of feeling that I had fulfilled my dream of becoming an idol.

Q. What have you learned most from your seven-part series over the past three years?

I think I was able to develop my idol qualities. I came to think about how to communicate better with the fans and make the stage more beautiful. I think I was proud to be able to see the growth as the days went by.

Q. How does it feel to finish the seven-part series that was a vast worldview?

It’s unfortunate that the expansive story based on its own worldview is coming to a conclusion, and I hope you look forward to the future story and direction of KINGDOM. Personally, it’s a shame that the album containing the “Story of the Storm Kingdom” (Represented by HWON) was not released, but I hope you look forward to the next season even more.

Q. What is the strong point of this album?

This is the first time in KINGDOM to shoot music videos and photography overseas, so I hope you will pay a lot of attention to the beautiful scenery.

Q. Which model made you dream of becoming a singer?

Personally, I think I developed my dream of becoming a singer while watching Wanna One. It was so cool to see them compete fiercely in the audition program and achieve their dream with pride, and despite the large number of people, they seemed to have developed their dream, thinking: “I also want to be a group like that -this.”

Q. Is there any national and international artist you want to collaborate with?

If I can collaborate, I want to collaborate with The Weeknd. This is because I am looking forward to the kind of music that KINGDOM will release, wanting to achieve original musicality that catches the ears with KINGDOM.

Q. It’s been three years since your debut. Who was the most impressive fan?

There are too many memories together and it’s hard to choose one. However, if there was an impressive scene, there was one day when I cried because of the event prepared by the KINGMAKERS during the first fan meeting in Korea. I think this day is the most memorable thing.

Q. Do you have any future goals or dreams?

I hope there will be a day when a KINGDOM song comes out while walking down the street and you can see KINGDOM everywhere you look.

Q. Finally, please say something to KINGMAKERS (fandom name).

Thanks to you, I have been able to grow and advance in my personal appearance and as a member of KINGDOM. I will always work hard to repay the love you gave me so that you will be happy that you loved Kingdom! I love you!

KINGDOM will release its seventh mini album, “History of Kingdom: Part Ⅶ. JAHAN“, at 6 p.m. KST on October 18.
