(G)I-DLE: Sporty kitsch look for “Wife”

Girl group (G)I-DLE’s “Wife” has been revealed.

Agency Cube Entertainment pre-released the track “Wife” from (G)I-DLE’s second album “2” on various online music sites on January 22 at midnight.

“Wife” is an impressive song with a pop track based on “Bubblegum Bass” and a unique and sophisticated sound. Member SOYEON participated in writing, composing and arranging, and the trendy rhythm, melody and attractive tone added on top provide intense addiction.

The released music video together demonstrates the broad concept of (G)I-DLE. The five members all showed off their kitsch charm with white-toned emerald wigs and sporty styling, while attracting attention by not missing (G)I-DLE’s unique vibe in the group dance.

(G)I-DLE raised expectations for its comeback to the highest level by releasing “Wife”, which continued to stimulate fans’ curiosity in a hidden way during the previous promotion tease. The second full album contains eight tracks, including “Wife”, the title song “Super lady“, the song “Revenge”, “Doll”, “Vision”, “7 Days“, “Fate” and “Rollie”.

The members of (G)I-DLE, who have become “trusted and listened to artists”, plan to present a more enhanced musical spectrum through their second full-length album, “2“. In particular, MIYEON, MINNIE and YUQI, who have a different presence as “genius producers”, were also featured in the album credits, further raising expectations by predicting the birth of a masterpiece of all time with only audio clips.

(G)I-DLE will release its second full album “2” at 6 p.m. KST on January 29 on various online music sites. The album is currently up for pre-orders.
