SEVENTEEN has once again made headlines with the release of its latest album, “17 IS RIGHT HERE“.

SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) has carved another milestone in its success story with the launch of its latest album, “17 IS RIGHT HERE“.
According to data compiled by album sales site Hanteo Chart on May 6th, SEVENTEEN‘s album “17 IS RIGHT HERE” sold 2,967,937 copies between its release on April 29th and May 5th. This marks a new record for K-pop album sales in a week according to Hanteo Chart.
Following its record-breaking sales last year with its mini-album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN” (5,091,887 copies in the first week), SEVENTEEN adds another record to the history of Korean pop music.
“17 IS RIGHT HERE” immediately joined the double million sellers club on its release day. Considering the nature of the album as a “best-of”, a compilation of SEVENTEEN‘s previous hits, this record is even more remarkable.
The group’s global popularity is also on fire. “17 IS RIGHT HERE” topped the daily Oricon album chart in Japan for five consecutive days (April 30th to May 4th). It also claimed the number one spot on Line Music‘s Top 100 albums chart, a significant music site in Japan. The album debuted at number two on the global iTunes album chart upon release, and it has consistently ranked high on global charts since then.
The album’s title track, “Maestro“, soared on the charts of major music platforms in South Korea, such as Melon, Genie, and Bugs. It also reached number one on iTunes‘ “Top Songs” chart in 32 countries and regions worldwide, thus claiming the top spot on the global “Top Songs” chart. New songs included in the album, such as “Lalali“, “Spell“, and “Cheers to youth“, also successfully entered national and international charts.
The group also released a performance version of “Maestro” on its official YouTube channel and social media platforms at midnight.
SEVENTEEN continues its encore tour “SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW AGAIN’” in stadiums in Japan. The group plans to meet its fans at Yanmar Nagai Stadium in Osaka on May 18th and 19th, followed by Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa on May 25th and 26th.
