STRAY KIDS
STRAY KIDS fans express anger over alleged racist treatment the boy band received at the 2024 Met Gala, held Tuesday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the biggest fashion event in the United States.

The members of STRAY KIDS, brand ambassadors for Tommy Hilfiger, were posing for photographers when a photographer apparently made racist comments towards the group.
Fans claimed many comments were racist and discriminatory, such as: “I’ve never seen so many expressionless faces” and “They’re robots.”
A photographer can be heard saying “tone it down“, insinuating the possibility that they were aware of their actions. Another said “Arigato,” using the Japanese phrase instead of Korean, to say “thank you.”
Fans spotted a comment telling them “Everyone jump” implying that the band members were shorter than the other artists at the venue.
The group members left the red carpet after leader BANG CHAN applauded and concluded the session.
One of the photographers behind the racist comments made his Instagram account private after being bombarded with critical messages since the gala.
STRAY KIDS will officially release its new digital single, “LOSE MY BREATH,” featuring Charlie Puth, on Friday at 1 p.m. KST.
