BTS - JIN
As BTS’ JIN is about to be discharged from a division’s military camp in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do this June 12, a vehicle with a welcoming message from fans is parked in the parking lot in front of the unit.

JIN, the oldest member of BTS, joined the army in December 2022 for the first time among the members, completed about one and a half years of military service as a training camp assistant, and is discharged this June 12, 2024.
BTS fans, ARMYs, have prepared visuals on buses or billboards to celebrate the release of the first BTS member’s army.
After reporting to the guard post at 8:20 a.m., JIN received applause to congratulate the soldiers on their discharge from the army. He also hugged the other soldiers. JIN shed tears during the enthusiastic congratulations of his colleagues. Then, JIN came out of the unit at 8:52 a.m. to greet reporters with raised hands.
To celebrate the release of their “older brother (Hyung)”, BTS members (including leader RM and members J-HOPE, JIMIN, V and youngest JUNGKOOK) also came together, with a day off. Those waiting outside the Army’s 5th Division in four black vehicles shared a warm embrace with JIN, who walked out with dignity.
RM attracted the attention of countless fans who watched the live broadcast as the main character JIN did. RM, who serves in the military band, performed BTS’ hit song “Dynamite” with a saxophone. The atmosphere at the venue became even more joyful thanks to RM’s surprise event. Fans also said that the scene showed charms unique to BTS. Many people say that JIN cried and laughed thanks to RM.

The BTS members, who took a precious vacation for JIN’s release and once again proved their loyalty to BTS, will reunite at their agency Hybe. SUGA, who was unable to be present at the scene due to his alternative service, reportedly planned to attend a meeting at the company’s premises and spread his message.
Meanwhile, JIN will join ARMYs (the official name of BTS fandom) through the “2024 FESTA“, an offline event marking the 11th anniversary of BTS’ debut, which will be held in Songpa-gu, Seoul on June 13 . An exclusive fan event will take place at Jamsil Gymnasium.
The agency said: “In the first part, a hug meeting will be held for 1,000 people, and in the second part, there will be times when ARMYs can meet various aspects of JIN, which they want see, which will remain a special memory for fans.” It was prepared following JIN’s suggestion that he wants to spend meaningful time near ARMYs. In the first part of “Jin’s Greetings“, there will be a light hug with the artist at the request of the artist, and the event will last about three hours.
