ROSE: Discussions to join The Black Label

It has been reported that BLACKPINK group ROSÉ is heading to the arms of producer Teddy.

On June 17, THE BLACK LABEL, managed by Teddy, refused to comment on rumors of an exclusive contract with ROSÉ, saying: “We are discussing it.“

Teddy is a producer exclusively for BLACKPINK and has close relationships with other members. He produced most of the songs, including “Whistle”, “Boombayah”, “Playing with fire“, “Ddu-du Ddu-du“, “Kill this love“, “How you like that“, “Lovesick girls“, and “Pink venom“, which made BLACKPINK join the global girl groups.

Teddy founded THE BLACK LABEL in 2016 and currently works as creative director. Currently, THE BLACK LABEL features singer Zion.T, Jeon Somi, RT and actors Park Bogum and Lee Jongwon. Taeyang, from the group Bigbang who started a relationship with YG Entertainment, also joined the label in 2022.

ROSÉ recently participated in singing the lead song “Final love song” in Mnet’s “Iland 2” audition to select plush-producing girl groups.

BLACKPINK has decided to stay with YG Entertainment as a group since late last year. JENNY created her own personal label Odd Atelier, LISA founded LLoud Company and JISOO Blissoo. ROSÉ is the only one who has not yet chosen a new label.
