Group LUN8 will make its comeback after five months.
LUN8 (Jinsu, Chael, Takuma, Junwoo, Dohyun, Ian, Ji Eunho, and Eunseop) will release its third mini album, “AWAKENING”, at 6 p.m. KST on August 14.
On the afternoon of July 16, a “coming soon” teaser image was released on Fantagio’s official social media to announce the release of “AWAKENING”. In addition to the album’s name, which means “awake”, humorous and kitsch elements such as skateboards, chess pieces, a basketball, LP boards and game consoles spark expectations regarding the new activities of LUN8.
“AWAKENING” comes after LUN8’s second mini-album “BUFF”, released in March, and is the first comeback to Korea in five months. This year, LUN8 has seen success in its local activities, releasing its debut single “EVERGREEN” in Japan last month as well as in Korea and ranking in the top 10 of the Oricon weekly singles chart.
LUN8 is a fifth-generation rookie boy group that officially debuted in June last year, showcasing high-level performances, vocal skills and team chemistry through its double-title song “Wild Heart” and “Voyager”, the pre-release of the song “Pastel” and the title song “Super power“. The second mini album “BUFF” also proved LUN8’s global rise, achieving more than twice the initial sales of its previous album.
Recently, he continued his activities by meeting fans on the stages of domestic and international festivals such as “Waterbomb Seoul 2024”, “2024 Busan One Asia Festival” and “KCON JAPAN 2024”.
