Singer SUNGMIN challenges the Newtrot.
SUNGMIN’s trot single “YO.YO.YO.” will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. KST on August 22. This will be the first time in about a year and three months since his debut trot single “LOVESICK” was released in May 2023, and features two tracks: “YO.YO.YO.” and “화양연화”
The title track “YO.YO.YO.” is a newtrot song that combines a cheerful sound and an addictive melody, and the lyrics contain the feeling of experiencing love and changing to a good direction, such as “It used to be like this, but it became like this.”
In particular, SUNGMIN worked with the popular trot production team, “알고보니 혼수상태,” who created many hits such as Park Hyun Bin’s “샤방샤방,” Youngtak’s “찐이야,” and Song Ga In’s “가인이어라,” through the title track “YO.YO.YO.”
The song “화양연화” is an authentic ballad composed of strings and band sounds, and it sings a beautiful promise of blossoming more with each moment we spend together, remembering the moment we first met our loved ones, with a delicate voice.
Meanwhile, SUNGMN debuted as a trot singer to favorable reviews after appearing on the TV Chosun entertainment show “Mr. Trot 2.”
