NCT member TAEIL is charged in a criminal case related to sex crimes and withdraws from the group.
NCT’s agency SM Entertainment said in an official statement on August 28, “We recently confirmed that TAEIL has been charged in a criminal case related to sexual crimes,” adding, “In understanding the facts in this regard, we recognized that the issue was very serious and decided to remove him from the group after discussing it with TAEIL.”
TAEIL is under investigation by the police. “We will provide additional information based on the investigation,” the agency said, bowing, “We deeply apologize for the controversy caused by our artists.“
Meanwhile, TAEIL debuted as a member of NCT U, a unit of NCT, in 2016 and has been a member of NCT and affiliate group NCT 127.

The investigation will have to determine the degree of TAEIL’s involvement or not in this criminal affair.
