On November 18, international NGO WORLD VISION announced it had received a donation of 60 million won from ATEEZ leader HONGJOONG and ATINY following the “2024 Global 6K for Water Running” campaign.

To celebrate his 26th birthday, ATEEZ‘s captain held a 6-kilometer run with ATINY ( fandom name) called “2024 Global 6K for Water Running“, also known as “G6K Running“. This campaign highlights some children’s difficulties when walking 6 kilometres to obtain drinking water. Fans were able to participate regardless of their location to highlight the seriousness of this problem of access to clean water, but also the courage of children who walk 6 kilometers every day to obtain it.
From November 1 to 7, approximately 3,400 domestic and foreign fans participated in this run, raising a total of 60 million won. This donation, which is a combination of ATINY’s participation fee for the “G6K Running” and HONGJOONG’s donation, will be entirely dedicated to WORLD VISION’s clean water access project in Zambia, Africa.
An important project for the ATEEZ captain. Indeed, HONGJOONG has been sponsoring this project since last March in addition to his previous actions with WORLD VISION. Since 2022, HONGJOONG has been fully dedicated to the NGO’s projects by sponsoring young people on the occasion of Children’s Day and the children’s dream support projects followed by WORLD VISION. His dedication and various participations earned him a nomination this year to the “Bob Pierce Honor Club”, a NGO’s group of major donors to the NGO.
Following the announcement of this latest donation, HONGJOONG said:
“I am really happy to be able to participate in this meaningful campaign with ATINY. Together, we have paid tribute to the children who walk 6 km every day to find drinking water and highlighted the problem of access to clean water and sanitation in certain areas of the world”.
Finally, ATEEZ, of which HONGJOONG is the leader, unveiled its new album “GOLDEN HOUR: PART.2” on November 15.
