JACKSON WANG‘s new song “Hate to love” is out.
On June 6, JACKSON WANG unveiled “Hate to love“, a song from his upcoming album “MAGICMAN 2” that should be released on July 18.
During the whole MV, JACKSON is sitting in the middle of a room, wearing leather pieces and dark smokey makeup under his eyes. The clip is all in black and white, except for his red gloves and his fluorescent blue eyes.
The lyrics seem to put words on some betrayal he has gone through, as the songs from “MAGICMAN 2” are a transcription of some of his written thoughts.
“And now I know what you are. Call me fam but you pretended. […] I give it all, but you still want more. Wish I could still trust you.“
JACKSON also shared his personal diaries before they turned into songs. For “Hate to love” in particular, we understand how he decided not to let the selfish interests of others poison his own value.

The final notes also appear at the end of the music video:
I’ve always questioned when I’m going to find love. But maybe the question is “when am I going to love myself.”
The song can also be appreciated as a piece of his complete work: the thoughts and emotions that are depicted in this new song are part of a hole process, environment and context that he started to paint in the first songs he has released previously (“High alone“, “GBAD” and “Buck” ).
“Hate to love” is also available on all streaming platforms.
