Pledis Entertainment‘s Master Professional (MP) Han Sung Soo has once again been recognized as the top producer leading the K-pop industry in 2024.
Han Sung Soo MP was named the winner of the “Producer Award” at the 39th “Golden Disc Awards” held at the Fukuoka Paypay Dome in Japan on the 5th. Han Sung Soo MP also won an award for his distinguished service in overseas expansion at the “2024 Korea Content Awards” in December last year. In June, he was also selected as one of the “2024 Indie Power Players” on the U.S. Billboard.
Han Sung Soo MP, who founded Pledis Entertainment in 2005, is currently in charge of album production for artists such as SEVENTEEN and TWS.
In particular, SEVENTEEN recorded cumulative album sales (from January to November) of nearly 10 million copies per year last year, and attracted nearly 1.5 million viewers (online and offline combined) for his solo performance. They were selected as “Top K-pop Touring Artists” at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, proving their reputation as “the best K-pop group.“
TWS, who became the “Best New Artist of 2024,” is also popular. They made a big impression by announcing “첫 만남은 계획대로 되지 않아,” “내가 S면 넌 나의 N이 되어줘,” and “마지막 축제.” They won seven Best New Artist awards at major music award ceremonies including the “Golden Disc Awards,” and were honored with the most awards among debut artists in 2024.
At the “Golden Disc Awards,” Pledis Entertainment artists won four trophies. SEVENTEEN won the grand prize in the album category and the main prize in the album category, while TWS won the grand prize in the digital music category.
