JEONGHAN of SEVENTEEN is set to release a brand-new single in collaboration with Japanese band Omoinotake.

On January 17th, Pledis Entertainment announced that JEONGHAN, a member of SEVENTEEN’s vocal sub-unit, will drop his latest single, titled “Better half (feat. Omoinotake)”, on January 27 at 6 PM (KST). The song’s title, which translates to “the half that makes me a better person”, is a heartfelt reflection of JEONGHAN’s feelings for his fans, CARATs.
Known for his gentle voice and his ability to convey emotions with remarkable subtlety, JEONGHAN continues to stand out in every track he delivers. Beyond his contributions to SEVENTEEN’s discography, he has broadened his musical repertoire through various projects, including the duet single “THIS MAN” with fellow member WONWOO, his solo track “Dream”, and a collaboration with Shingo Katori, former member of Japan’s legendary group SMAP, on the song “Betting”.
For this new release, JEONGHAN teamed up with Omoinotake, a Japanese piano-pop trio formed in 2012. The band has garnered significant attention with hits like “Ikuokukonen (幾億光年)”, the theme song for TBS drama “Eye love you”. The track surpassed 300 million streams on Billboard Japan and ranked third on the platform’s annual “Hot 100” chart.
Pledis Entertainment commented on the upcoming single, saying:
“‘Better half (feat. Omoinotake)’ will showcase a more mature side of JEONGHAN. We hope this song becomes a special gift for all CARATs.”
With this release, JEONGHAN is once again ready to captivate his fans with his undeniable talent while expanding his musical horizons through a unique collaboration with a celebrated Japanese group.
