Singer B.I. has announced a new departure as a representative producer at the helm of 131 labels.
On April 28, 131 Labels announced, “B.I. plans to expand beyond his role as 131 Labels’ representative artist and instead lead the company’s vision and direction as a producer going forward.” It added, “We will lead 131 Labels by considering not only production, but also artist operations in general.“
“Since the release of my debut solo album, ‘WATERFALL,’ on June 1, 2021, I’ve encountered many practical challenges, but I’ve been able to get to this point thanks to the fans who trust and love my music. If I’m where I am today, it’s thanks to this period,” said B.I.
“It’s thanks to the fans who have always supported me that I’ve been a solo artist for over four years and that I’ve been able to overcome the difficult times,” he said, adding, “Building on these moments, I now want to interact more deeply and for longer with fans through music.”
B.I., responsible for planning and production at 131 Labels, has become a central element, not only as an artist, but also as a creative community. In addition to his mission to preserve the artist’s reputation, he will guide the evolution of 131 Labels as a brand.
B.I. debuted as a member of the group iKON. After leaving the group and taking a short break, he returned to solo.
